On behalf of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the European Commission, Directorate General for the Environment, you are invited to participate in the joint 15th Forum on Eco-innovation and the UNEP Roundtable on Eco-innovation that will take place on 12 and 13 November 2013 in Hanoi, Vietnam.
The event is titled Cutting waste…Resource efficiency and eco-innovation for sustainable food chains. It will gather key European and Asian players from the private and public sectors, technical institutions and intermediaries working with small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to unlock the potential of eco-innovation and resource efficiency to positively affect global food chains and reduce food waste —turning negative impacts into a profitable business and improved social opportunities.

The event will illustrate how resource efficiency and eco-innovation can contribute to more sustainable food chains—focusing on food processing, packaging and retail solutions. The Forum will include a separate EC sponsored brokerage event organized in the context of the Mission for Growth to Vietnam led by Antonio Tajani, Vice-President of the European Commission. This brokerage event will allow participants to form new partnerships and launch collaborative project proposals.

What is the registration process?
Please note that attendance at the Forum is free but registration is required. The European Commission and the UNEP will not reimburse any expenses.
