Four new partners from Brazil, Denmark, England and the United States have signed up to support the Think.Eat.Save: Reduce Your Foodprint campaign which continues to expand its global reach. .
The new partners come with their own expertise and experience as organizations that have been engaged in the fight against food waste in the last few years. They will support the campaign by helping raise public awareness about food waste and engage their communities in actions to reduce this.

The Satisfeito Program aims to shine a new light on the issue of hunger and food waste, showing how simple it can be for people to make a change in the world by choosing an appropriately sized dish at restaurants. In Portuguese, the word “Satisfeito” is used to express gratitude for a meal just just received or eaten. Customers who visit the participating restaurants have the option to choose a dish in the Satisfeito portion, which is one-third smaller than the original size, but costs the same price. The restaurants’ savings will then be donated to organizations that work towards child food security. The programme was initiated in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and is now being expanded to other countries around the world.
UNITED AGAINST FOOD WASTE
United Against Food Waste, which organized Europe's first event where the entire food value chain was represented, is an initiative under FUSIONS, the world’s largest alliance against food waste. It has 21 partners from across Europe, including Feeding the 5000, the UN, the Danish consumer movement Stop Wasting Food, and Communiqué.
United Against Food Waste demonstrated how food can be consumed without having waste by having surplus food collected and handed over to Project Homeless Copenhagen. The organic waste from the event was collected by Daka ReFood and converted into biogas.
Food Shift works collaboratively with communities, businesses and governments to develop long-term sustainable solutions to reduce food waste and build more resilient communities. Food Shift aims to build a just and sustainable food system, promote an understanding of the environmental, social and economic impacts of food waste, find the best way to reduce food waste in homes and businesses, and create jobs in the process.
SUSTAINABLE RESTAURANT ORGANIZATION
The Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA) is a non-profit membership organisation that helps restaurants become more sustainable and diners make more sustainable choices when dining out.
They help restaurants source food more sustainably, manage resources more efficiently and work more closely with their community while also helping diners identify those restaurants that are doing the right thing.
